1965 Original Uncirculated Silver Dime Roll (50 Coins)
Very few coins from 60 years ago have survived still in original brilliant uncirculated rolls as they were issued through Canada's chartered banks, and these scarce rolls often include some of the best premium-quality examples of uncirculated coins from this era. This is an original roll of 50 silver dimes issued in 1965, just as the coins were issued newly shipped from the Royal Canadian Mint. The coins are all made of .800 silver, with the roll containing three ounces of pure silver. While silver dimes from this era are not especially rare, original rolls are seldom encountered and exceptional quality uncirculated coins are scarce and highly sought-after.
Collectability is also enhanced by the fact that 1965 represents the first issue ever to feature the new "tiara portrait" which presents Queen Elizabeth as a mature woman in contrast to the original "laureate portrait." This coin roll is original from 1965 and has not been searched for exceptional quality examples. The coins have been transferred into a clear acrylic tube for the best possible long-term storage and preservation.
