Product Overview
Canada's first five-cent nickel coins were struck in 1922. Before this time, the five-cent coin was a very small silver coin, about half the size of a dime. This collection includes a complete collection of all dates of nickels issued from 1922 through to 1970, including key date 1925. A total of 57 coins are in this collection.

Many low-mintage and scarcer type coins are in this collection, including key date 1925 with a mintage of only 200,050 (compared with average mintage of 4 million for other years of George V).
Special war issues dated 1942 to 1945 are highly collectible coins that also make up part of this set. Two different coin types are included for the years 1942, 1947, and 1951.

Five different small five-cent silver coins are also included, and all are at least 100 years old.  The first two date from the reign of King Edward VII from 1902 to 1910. The other three five-cent silver coins were issued during the early part of the reign of King George V from 1911 to 1920.

Coins dated 1960 and later will all be in uncirculated condition, while coins dated before this time will generally not be uncirculated, but will be in excellent collectible condition.

Includes:
• Complete 5-Cent Nickel Collection 1922–1970, plus Five 5-Cent Silver Coins 1902–1920
