Estate Originals 14K White Gold Art Deco Ring with Three Old European-Cut Diamonds
This Art Deco–designed ring was handcrafted in 14K white gold between the years of 1915 and 1935. It is vertically-set with three Old European-cut diamonds that combine for 0.32 carats. The elongated geometric setting is pierced with three square shapes, forming a "V" at both the top and bottom, and each side is engraved with a swirl motif. The band also displays an engraved detail.
Art Deco jewellery can be identified with geometric and angular patterns and is often set with Old European-cut diamonds. Old European-cut diamonds are the precursor to today's modern round brilliant-cut but is chunkier, as they were cut by hand. They have an open culet, a high crown and a small table and are very sought-after by collectors of vintage jewellery.
