Estate Originals 18K White Gold Fancy Elongated Sapphire and Diamond Ring

Measuring a quite conspicuous 1.75 inches long, this dynamic lozenge-shaped dinner ring, substantially crafted in 18K white gold, centres on a sparkling cluster of 117 round blue sapphires, framed by glistening round, brilliant-cut diamonds outlined in a scalloped border. The sapphires are arranged in nine oval groups of 13 that are stacked in a navette display, revealing negative space, and each pod is back filled with black rhodium, enhancing the sapphires and making them pop. Further dramatizing the sapphires is the negative space outline and exterior frame of 70 diamonds. The puffed underside is elegantly detailed with open pear shapes that rest comfortably on the finger and a triple split band hugs the sides. This ring is a striking estate masterpiece from the latter-20th century. The sapphires combine for 3.98 carats and the diamonds combine for 0.82 carats.
