Estate Originals Custom-Made 14K Yellow and White Gold Art Deco Emerald and Diamond Bangle Bracelet

This custom-made bangle is a striking example of Art Deco design crafted from 14K yellow and white gold for a sophisticated two-tone effect. The bangle is adorned with three vibrant emeralds located in the middle of the white gold centerpiece, and each one articulated within its own box setting. The very middle one is set into a hexagon shape while the other two, one on each side, are square set. Three old European cut diamonds, also set into square boxes can be found on each side of the emeralds creating a horizontal row presentation. A fancy pierced border trims the bar, culminating in pointed tips. A soft curve, set with six old European cut diamonds, three per side, accents both the top and bottom of the centerpiece and elaborate chevron shaped ends cap the centre bar. Ten additional old European cut diamonds, reflecting the elegance of the Art Deco era, decorate the ends and chevron tip. A row of yellow gold textured semi-circles with open middles trim the centerpiece on the front. The back of the bangle indicates a five-section design, four of which reveal negative space and one that is solid, yet textured. The three emeralds combine for 0.78 carats and the twenty-two diamonds, 1.87 carats. A hidden box clasp with double figure ‘8’ security locks are located on one side and the hinge is on the other. The combination of the rich green emeralds, the sparkling diamonds and the intricate gold work creates a piece that is both timeless and statement-making, perfect for adding a touch of vintage-inspired luxury to any ensemble.

The Art Deco era spanned from 1915 to 1935 and can be identified with geometric and angular patterns and is often set with old European cut diamonds. Old European cut diamonds first appeared in the 1800’s and were the preferred cut from 1890 – 1930’s. They feature 58 facets as do today’s round brilliant cut, but they were chunkier, cut by hand with a high crown, small table and flat open culet.
