Rare 1914 Canada 5 Cent Silver Coin Ms-66
Less than 100 examples known to exist in this elusive grade, with only five coins ever assigned a higher grade by PCGS. Historically, it has been these highest quality coins which have appreciated most in value. Canadian Coin & Currency has recently discovered a small group of these coins that were put away in 1914 and never touched for nearly 100 years. The quality of these coins is superb, with some of the finest coins in this group being graded as MS-66.
Coin Design and Composition: The reverse of this coin features a wreath of 22 maple leaves, with the date and denomination in the centre. The obverse features the imperial crowned portrait of King George V. The coins are struck in .925 sterling silver
