For some, coffee is a means to an end. They’re tired in the morning and they want a quick boost. For others, though, coffee is an art. It’s an experience. It’s something that can be done beautifully or it can be done horribly. Such is the case at Van Houtte. Founded in 1919 by passionate master roaster Louis Van Houtee, they have a century-old tradition of excellence in coffee.
It all starts with the beans. They use only the finest Arabica beans, sourced from the same producers since the very beginning. For an extra layer of confidence, the master roaster tastes each batch of beans as they come in to ensure the quality is up to the usual standards. And that is only the first of many tests the beans are put through before they’re approved to start the journey to your cup.
Roasting is the next step and it’s a delicate process especially when quality and taste are high priority. Van Houtte uses only small batch roasting methods. Despite taking longer than industrial methods, this ensures a better tasting cup of coffee. They also use advanced equipment that was built with the expertise of Louis Van Houtte close at hand. With this they are able to control everything about the process, from temperature, time, humidity, and more.
This also allows them to adjust settings to create a variety of flavors. Different perameters produce different aromas and tasting notes and Van Houtte has perfected each one.
Van Houtte coffee is available in many forms, from whole bean to pre-ground and more. TSC is happy to offer a selection of convenient K-Cups filled with different blends of Van Houtte coffee. Made for your Keurig machine, all you must do is pop them in and wait a few minutes for your coffee to be ready! It doesn’t get much easier than that, especially for such a delicious, high-quality cup.
