Product Overview
This 1995 half-ounce .9995 pure platinum $150 lynx coin is presented in a mahogany wood case and has a limited mintage of 2,500 coins worldwide. The design by artist Michael Dumas depicts a Canada lynx on the prowl. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Dora de Pédery-Hunt.

Somewhere in the remote areas of the boreal forest, you might see the elusive Canada lynx. The lynx is a solitary animal that prefers to live in the deep forests. Hunting at night, the lynx uses its keen sense of sight and hearing. Distinctive ear-tufts, prominent cheek ruffs, a short black-tipped tail, long powerful legs and large padded paws give the lynx a unique appearance. Its large paws act as snowshoes as it bounds over snow drifts, which makes for a species well-adapted to the harsh Canadian winters.
