Aviation Series One $20 Proof Silver Coin with 24kt Gold Plated Cameo

The Royal Canadian Mint has celebrated Canada's substantial aviation achievements and heroes with this collection of double-struck, frosted cameo proof silver coins that were issued from 1990 to 1998. The coins each weigh one full ounce, and are struck in .925 sterling silver with a 24kt yellow gold cameo overlay. These cameos feature portraits of individuals whose role in the design, operation, or execution of the respective aircraft was a key in our historical understanding and appreciation of it. Original mintages for the coins available in this offer range from 30,000 to 44,000.
