This bread box creates an environment that balances humidity and provides the air circulation required to maintain a crispy crust. Its large design allows for good circulation, yet it is small enough to fit nicely on a countertop. The bread stays crispy outside without hardening, and soft inside without going mouldy. As a result, it remains edible for up to five days (depending on the kind of bread). The lid is smooth on the top and grooved underneath for cutting and collecting crumbs when slicing bread, and the unglazed interior helps absorb excess moisture. The glazed exterior offers a scratch-resistant, easy-to-clean and dishwasher-safe surface. The two small holes near the base help ensure good ventilation.
