100th Anniversary of Confederation (1967)
This 1967 centennial proof-like coin set includes the cent to the silver dollar and comes presented in a mahogany finish case. After receiving many submissions from artists across Canada, the mint panel selected the wildlife designs of the New Brunswick artist and sculptor Alex Colville.

• Half dollar: howling wolf; symbolic of the vastness of Canada
• Quarter: bobcat; expressing independence and decisive action

• Cent: rock dove; associated with spiritual values and peace

1867–1982 Fathers of Confederation Constitution Nickel Dollar Coin
One hundered and fifteen years after the British North America Act was passed in England as Canada's original constitution, the Constitution Act of 1982 was enacted on April 17, 1982 to patriate and update our constitution. Incorporating the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, this act is the most fundamental framework for all laws of Canada and the rights and privileges of all Canadians. To mark this event, the Royal Canadian Mint struck a special commemorative dollar coin featuring a representation of the famous 1884 "Fathers of Confederation" painting by Robert Harris.
