Custom Made 14KT Yellow Gold Large Oval Shaped Chalcedony Quartz Pendant

This outstanding bold pendant is custom crafted in 14kt yellow gold and is bezel set with a very large, 63.00 x 47.00 x 5.30mm semi-translucent, banded brown, cream and yellow colour chalcedony quartz. A frame of gold acts as a halo around the stone, allowing for negative space between the two and attached only by four narrow bars located at the north/south/east and west positions. An large oval bale attaches to a horseshoe shaped hook at the top of the pendant. Included, is a 10kt 54cm (22"") elongated box link chain with spring ring clasp. 

The name chalcedony comes from the Latin chalcedonies and is probably derived from the town of Chalcedon in Turkey. Chalcedony occurs in a wide range of colors. It is commonly gray, white, brown, red, yellow, orange and black, but it can occur in any color. It can also be banded or have plume, dendritic, mottled, mossy or other colorful structures within.
