$5 Celebrating 100 Years of the RCMP
Celebrate the RCMP and its 100th anniversary as Canada's national police force with this $5 pure silver coin. When the Dominion Police (formed in 1868) and the Royal Northwest Mounted Police (established as the Northwest Mounted Police in 1873) combined in 1920, it set the stage for the evolution of the modern Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Today the RCMP serves as a highly respected national police force while maintaining the romantic legacy of its frontier past. Dressed in an iconic red uniform and Stetson hat, the Mountie on horseback remains one of the most famous faces of Canada in the eyes of the world.

$5 Fine Silver Coin 350th Anniversary of Hudson's Bay Company
Step back in time to an era of exploration and adventure with this affordable $5 fine silver coin marking the 350th anniversary of the Hudson's Bay Company (HBC). Incorporated in 1670, HBC is Canada's oldest company. Partnerships with First Nations, Inuit and Métis led to its success during the fur trade era, and as Canada began to take shape, HBC evolved along with it: its commercial pursuits were a crucial part of Canada's earliest industries and development, its trading posts became Canada's cities and towns, and its fur-trading empire evolved into the modern retail giant of today. The reverse was inspired by the Voyageur dollar introduced in 1935 and designed by Emanuel Hahn.

$5 Fine Silver Coin Remembrance Day
This fine silver $5 coin serves as a token of remembrance for all those who have served our country to make the rights and freedoms that we enjoy today possible. As we marked the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War (in 2020) and the beginning of an era of peace, the poppy continues to serve as a poignant reminder of our past, and as a symbol of hope for the future. The design on this coin features a bold "V" marking the anniversary of the end of hostilities in 1945, together with a field of red poppies reminiscent of John McCrae's famous poem, "In Flanders Fields." The reverse design by Canadian artist Trevor Tennant uses selective colour to highlight the flowers of remembrance that line a V-shaped pathway.

$5 Fine Silver Coin 40th Anniversary of the National Anthem
This is the fourth and final coin in the 2020 Moments to Hold series that commemorates our anthem. When the first familiar chords of "O Canada" play at schools, hockey games and other events, Canadians stand with pride in honour of their country. The reverse design by Canadian artist Lisa Thomson commemorates our national anthem. It features maple leaves in the centre, and on the staff are the first four notes of "O Canada."
