Product Overview

This extremely large ultra-high-relief one-kilogram fine silver coin will transport you back more than 2,200 years to the era of China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang. The coin beautifully combines fascinating history, art, impressive multi-layer ultra-high relief minting technology, intrinsic silver value, and an extremely low mintage of just 199 pieces.  The coin is dated 2024 and is legal tender in Samoa with a $25 nominal face value.

The artwork comes to life through a combination of intricate detail, an impressive 100-mm diameter, and the use of multi-layer minting technology used to create extreme three-dimensional relief. An antique finish completes the imagery, linking the coin design with its historic representation.

The legacy of the Qin dynasty is depicted in great detail on the outer layer. A Chinese dragon, the symbol of the emperor, adorns the inner circle, while it is protected by a standing terracotta warrior in ultra-high relief.

Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China, ruled from 221 to 210 BCE. He was a powerful leader who unified China and established the Qin Dynasty. One of his most enduring legacies is the Terracotta Army, accidently discovered 50 years ago by a local farmer near Xi'an. The army was created to accompany and protect Qin Shi Huang in the afterlife. It consists of over 8,000 life-sized terracotta soldiers, horses and chariots, each individually crafted with remarkable detail.

The discovery of the Terracotta Army in 1974 has provided valuable insights into the military organization and artistic skills of the Qin Dynasty. It stands as a testament to the grandeur and am- bition of Qin Shi Huang, who also initiated the construction of the Great Wall of China to protect the northern borders from invasions. Today, the Terracotta Army is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a symbol of China's rich culture heritage, attracting visitors from around the world.
