Custom Made 22K 50 Peso Coin Pendant with a Custom Made 18K Yellow Gold Setting and Chain

This pendant is custom crafted in beautiful yellow gold. Prong-set, from behind, is an almost pure gold (21.6kt) Mexican coin. The obverse features the Winged Victory (Angel of Independence), with the golden eagle of the Mexican Coat of Arms on the reverse. The lettering reads: 50 Pesos, 37.5 Gr. ORO PURO, dated 1821 - 1947 on the obverse and ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS on the reverse. The custom crafted gold frame is highly polished with a fancy 'S' link design that matches the yellow gold 60cm (24") fancy link chain with hidden box clasp and safety latch.

The 50 Peso Mexican Gold Coin is more commonly known today as the gold Centenario, so-called because it was first issued in 1921 by the Mexican Mint to commemorate 100 years of Mexican independence from Spanish colonial rule. It is the most iconic gold coin issued by the Mexican Mint and are a favorite among collectors. The coin has a gold content of 1.205 troy ounces of gold (the entire weight of the coin is 1.33 ounces).
