Product Overview

This pendant is custom crafted in 14K yellow gold. A 1/4 oz. 1985 Chinese gold coin is bezel-set into a fancy open design frame. A 14K 16" fancy yellow gold chain with lobster claw clasp is included. The front of the coin features a baby panda swinging on a bamboo branch with Chinese characters and 0.999 1/4oz Au. The obverse side indicates the year of issue, 1985, and the Chinese characters depicting the People's Republic Of China with an image of The Hall Of Abundant Harvests at The Temple of Heaven in Beijing. The Official Mint of the People's Republic of China introduced the panda gold bullion coins in 1982. The panda design changes every year (except for 2001 and 2002 which share the same design) and the Gold Panda coins come in different sizes and denominations, ranging from 1⁄20 to 1 troy ounce.
