Product Overview

Abundant in rich, deep colours, this 14K yellow gold bombé ring features a 2.52 carat oval shaped cabochon cut opal with a green/orange and yellow play-of-colour, bezel set at it centre. Attracting attention to the domed head, faceted garnets and bezel set white sapphires cover the design, with glistening hues of maroon and scarlet in the light. The twenty garnets combine for 2.72 carats, and the twenty-six white sapphires total half a carat.

The name ‘Bombé’ is French, literally meaning ‘bomb-shaped’. This style of ring is seen from the Edwardian period onwards. However it is around the 1960’s when this design became all the rage. Due to the design, this piece stands out beautifully on the finger. It could be worn for a variety of occasions and easily paired with other jewellery colours and styles.
